You are in charge of issuing any refunds. Your Stripe account allows you to issue the refund directly to your customer.
What does it mean to publish an event?
Your event will not be visible to customers until you publish it. You can make changes without anyone seeing the work in progress. When your event listing is complete and you are ready to start offering tickets to the public, select the "Publish" button. Customers will then be able to view your event and purchase tickets.

An invalid ticket will display a large X and the word "FAILED".
