About this event
Founded in 2019 by Roland Beaulieu, Adam Gaudet, and Owen Hann, Route 225 started out as a group of PEI musicians performing their version of popular cover songs catered to the event/wedding circuit.
After the sudden passing of bassist Owen Hann in 2022, the band made the difficult decision to continue, retooling the band with two of PEI's most renowned musicians: Deryl Gallant (Bass, Vocals) and Todd MacLean (Keyboards, Sax, Vocals and Guitar)
In a short period of time, they have become PEI's premier backup band, working with Amanda Jackson, Anica (Canada's Got Talent golden buzzer winner), Trinity Bradshaw, and Brooke MacArthur (Cavendish Beach Music Festival) in 2023, and appeared at several festivals and events as a band on their own with Roland in front.
Route 225 is a band that is as stylistically diverse as you can get, and thrives on playing the best songs you may have forgotten about. With their broad musical depth and instrumentation, you will find them completely at home playing anything from Little Feat to Johnny Cash...Tina Turner to Garth Brooks and everything in between.
