Weaving her Atlantic Canadian roots into the broader world, the Music NL Female Artist and Album of the Year winner is ‘the real deal’ (Roots Canada), penning songs that are wistful, longing and intimately familiar. In demand on folk festival stages is Plains-Cree singer-songwriter Wyatt C. Louis. Named one of CBCs 2024 ‘8 Indigenous Artists to Know’, the most recent album ‘Chandler’ from the Treaty 6 artist offers stunning vocals and a signature indie/roots spin on the country music ingrained in the geography of their childhood. Closing the night is Les Royal Pickles who quickly became festival favourites after their 2022 Small Halls debut.
