Lady Slipper and Edible Plant Workshop

About this event
PEI's provincial flower is common, but only blooms for a short time and so many people have never seen it in person. Join me on a walk through field edges, forests, and wetlands at the Harvey Moore Wildlife Sanctuary while identifying a range of edible and medicinal plants (and maybe a few mushrooms). I encourage people to use ALL their senses in plant identification, so we'll touch, smell, and even taste a few. This is a great time of year to find Lady's Slippers; there's always some at this site so be sure to bring a camera!
This site is mostly flat terrain with some wooden boardwalks, bridges, and walkways over wet areas. Comfortable rubber boots or walking shoes you don't mind getting wet are recommended. This event goes rain or shine (within reason) and is limited to 18 people to ensure a quality experience.
