The Ceilidh on Friday, September 5th, 2025 in the Katherine Hughes Memorial Hall in the Irish Cultural Centre at 582 North River Road will feature local singer/songwriter Sue Pitre accompanied by singer Frank Whitty on Guitar.  Buddy Longaphie will be the fiddler for the evening.

Sue Pitrie is a singer at many ceilidhs., senior homes and benefits on the Island. She has a CD called "A Smile And A Song”.  Sue is a Walmart Greeter here in Charlottetown and has greeted many customers at Walmart with her many songs. She was selected in 2018 as their National Walmart Greeter for Canada. 

Lester MacPherson will be accompanying Sue at this music event. Lester, aka The Island’s Country Gentleman, has been playing his brand of classic country music across PEI and the Maritimes for decades. He has performed at countless benefits, ceilidhs, concerts, festivals and events. He has shared the stage with many of the region’s most popular entertainers including Smiling Bill MacCormack and Bugsy Green.

There will be a 50/50 draw during the evening at the air-conditioned and licensed hall. Our elevator is currently out of service. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Admission price is $20 at the door. Children twelve and under remain at $5.
