BIS - 2025 Christmas Ceilidh with Tip Er Back and fiddler Steve Perry (Friday December 5 2025 7:30 pm)
Fri, December 5, 2025, 7:30 PM (AST)
About this event
The Christmas Ceilidh on Friday, December 5 2025 at Irish Cultural Centre, 582 North River Road will feature popular island music group Tip Er Back with Clive Currie, Allan Betts, Wade Murray.
The group plays a mix of maritime favourites, traditional Gaelic, country, and also some original music. Betts, Currie and Murray were members of Kickin’ Country, the popular dance band that played at many dance halls on P.E.I.
Allan Betts is a singer, songwriter. Who has penned several songs including the song “and I Owe Life to You”, sung by many musicians, including PEI’s own Dino Dunsford. Clive Currie yodels and he is very good at it. We hope to convince him to give us a tune with yodeling in it during the evening. Wade Murray plays Bass. Steve Perry will be the fiddler for the evening.
There will be a 50/50 draw and complimentary ‘Tea and Treats’ at intermission. The Hall is air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible and licensed. Doors open at 6:30, show at 7:30. Tickets at the door - $20 or $5 (12 and under). A portion of the proceeds will go to benefiting the society’s benevolent activities.
Everyone is welcome to come out for a night of wonderful music. For more information call Kathy at 902-314-8840. This popular group draws the crowds so arrive early to make sure you get a seat.
