About this event
Hark, fair Fae folk! You are cordially (and royally) invited to the Neon Dreamscape Fae Ball, Friday May 8, at The Guild, in Charlottetown.
The Fairy Queen, Anastasia, summons all the magical beings from every realm to answer her call - to join her within the Neon Dreamscape, to eat, drink and, dance with abandon, and forget about the world beyond the Dream.
The earthly realm of The Guild will be transformed from a black box theatre into an interactive, psychedelic dreamscape where all Fae can be free to be! Join us in our celebration of beauty, music, and magic.
We are so pleased to be welcoming back Christian the magician and Krista Rae the Medium, who were outstanding at the Stardust Fae Ball. There will also be a professional photographer to capture your main-character moment. We are excited to add a new element to the ball this time. We will be holding a trinket exchange, because fairies LOVE trinkets. (more details in the FAQ section)
All of this and so much more awaits you at the Neon Dreamscape Fae Ball!
Frequently asked questions
What should I wear?
Think bright, whimsical, and maybe with lights...? Whatever "a little extra" means to you. Many people will be wearing formal attire, fairy wings, suits, leather, or armor pieces. But don't feel pressured to wear anything that doesn't feel right for you. We want you to feel completely free to express your most magical self. Clothing isn't gendered and this is a safe space for everyone.
What is the age requirement?
This event will be licensed so attendees must be 19 or older.
Do I need a date to attend?
Absolutely not! There will, of course, be couples in attendance but there will be just as many free-wheelin' singles, living their best lives on the dancefloor!
What is a Trinket Exchange?
At fantasy balls, trinket-giving is a charming tradition — a way to break the ice, spark conversation, and make new friendships throughout the night. It is not mandatory. Just another way to connect - consider it "social lubricant".
What are examples of a trinket I could bring?
Folded messages or notes sealed with wax or ribbon Bookmarks or scroll snippets with quotes or symbols Friendship bracelet or beaded charms Stickers, pins, or tiny keyrings Pressed flowers, tiny spell jars, or ribbons of fate A cool button Crochet items a Tarot card
Why should I bring a trinket?
Think of trinkets as your invitation to connect. They’re conversation starters, memory makers, and symbols of the night’s enchantment. Offer one to a stranger as you compliment their mask, share a dance, or exchange a laugh — and you might just leave with a friend for life (or at least a new Instagram mutual from another realm).
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes. We will have savoury snacks and desserts available throughout the evening as well as a fully stocked bar.
Will there be dancing?
Oh, yes! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Where is this event being held?
The Guild at 111 Queen Street, Charlottetown
Is the Guild wheelchair accessible?
Yes!
Are props allowed?
Yes, within reason. Swords, knives, and such must be rubber or plastic and completely safe. No prop guns of any kind are allowed.
