About this event
This is a big one!
Four of Canada's preeminent songwriters share the stage with an all-star cast of Island classical musicians. It is a night of songwriting collaboration that brings the crowd to its feet year after year.
In 2026, Juno Award winning songwriter Catherine MacLellan welcomes Cara Luft, Logan Staats, and Joce Reyome to the Songhouse stage.
Cara Luft is a Canadian folk music icon. A founding member of The Wailin’ Jennys, she earned a Juno Award for her work on the album 40 Days. In 2014, she went on to co-found the folk duo The Small Glories. The pair toured extensively across Canada, the U.S., and Europe, garnering widespread recognition from both the Canadian Folk Music Awards and the Junos. Her fans will be happy to know Luft returns to this year's Small Halls with a new solo album in tow!
Joce Reyome is a decorated roots and blues songwriter based in PEI. Originally hailing from Attleboro, Massachusetts their vocal style evoke the smooth soul of Aretha Franklin and the belting rasp of Janis Joplin. Joce's pipes brought home the top prize at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee - cementing their place as one of this region's great blues talents.
Since winning CTV’s The Launch, Logan Staats has been touring the world, supporting acts such as Mumford & Sons, Eric Clapton, and Steve Earle. Hailing from Six Nations of the Grand River (Ontario), Staats has received Juno nominations and has won countless Indigenous Music Awards. His songwriting and soulful storytelling have captivated audiences around the world.
This show has quickly become a Small Halls favourite, setting award-winning songwriters and strings against the awe-inspiring architecture and acoustics of Zion Church. As one of the festival’s marquee shows, this is one you do not want to miss.
