About this event
First time festival performers Rum Ragged are joined by gritty blues living legend Joce Reyome and Tre Sutherland for a magical matinee at the majestic Kings Playhouse.
Newfoundland and Labrador's Rum Ragged are bringing their Juno Award nominated performance to Small Halls. Boasting bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, guitar, and button accordion, these new champions of East Coast music enliven and enlighten audiences with their signature brand of Newfoundland folk. Their combination of striking vocal harmonies, staggering musicianship, and captivating storytelling gives concert-goers an experience they won’t soon forget.
Joce Reyome is a decorated roots and blues songwriter based in PEI. Originally hailing from Attleboro, Massachusetts their vocal style evokes the smooth soul of Aretha Franklin and the belting rasp of Janis Joplin. Joce's pipes brought home the top prize at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee - cementing their place as one of this region's great blues talents.
Cree fiddler Tre Sutherland will take the stage with Ray Knorr and legendary Island composer Kevin Chaisson.
A massive lineup for a big finish. It's a Closing Fit for Kings.
