About this event
Lloyd Spiegel is a bluesman at his core, a guitarist by trade, a comedian by nature and a showman at heart. He blends powerful vocals and jaw-dropping guitar prowess with a knack for humour and storytelling to deliver a unique, captivating performance that crosses genres and generations.
With 10 albums to his name, the 14 time Australian Blues Award winner has dedicated his life to creating a signature style that honours the traditions of the music he loves, while creating a link in the chain of its evolution. Spiegel performs over one hundred shows a year on theatre stages and major festivals in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Highlights include the Montreal Jazz Festival (CAN), Ottawa Bluesfest (CAN), Kansas City Blues Festival (USA), Sapporo Blues Festival (Japan) and Groningen Rhythm and Blues Festival (NL).
Back home, Lloyd is a respected trailblazer for modern Blues and one of his country's most celebrated guitarists, being named in Australian Guitar Magazine’s list of the 50 greatest Australian guitarists of all time. He is the face of Cole Clark Guitars, a major Australian manufacturer and has been instrumental in making the brand a world leader in amplified acoustic guitar technology and sustainability. As a result, Cole Clark Guitars has a series of signature model guitars in his name.
Driven by a strong belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to make music, Lloyd is a highly active member of his community, creating a musical instrument donation program for local schools, volunteering weekly at a choir for people with disabilities and serving as ambassador to Blues Music Victoria and Make Music Australia.

A Saskatoon native transplanted to the Niagara Region of Ontario, Roots and Blues singer and musician Suzie Vinnick is a 3X Juno Nominee, a 2X Canadian Folk Music Award winner, won a 2024 ECMA with her project A'Court, Spiegel and Vinnick and is a 12-time winner of the Maple Blues Award for songwriting, female vocalist, acoustic act and more. Suzie has a voice you’ve heard a thousand times and one you’ll never forget. It soars, it growls, it whispers and it shouts from a deep, deep well of emotion. The pure joy she exudes when she plays her guitars is so worth the show.
In May 2024, Suzie performed at the Teatro Nazionale in Genova, Italy, as a guest of Italian acoustic guitarist and singer Beppe Gambetta and she also performed at the Baltic Blues Festival in Eutin, Germany. In July 2024 Suzie and her band opened for Burton Cummings at the Kemptville Live Music Festival; she also appeared as a special guest of Blackie & the Rodeo Kings at Ottawa Bluesfest in 2023, performing alongside Daniel Lanois. She has also toured nationally with Downchild, Stuart McLean’s The Vinyl Café, with ASV (Charlie A'Court, Lloyd Spiegel and Vinnick), the John McDermott Band and she performed for Canadian Peacekeepers in Bosnia and the Persian Gulf. She was also the voice of Tim Horton’s for 5 years.
