We are pleased to announce that Building Community, our annual gala fundraising event, will take place place on Sept. 16, 2026 at Delta Hotels by Marriott Saint John.
Our special guest is Madison Tevlin, a Canadian actress, comedian, broadcaster, and advocate for inclusion and Down syndrome.
Reception begins at 5 p.m. and three-course dinner at 6 p.m. A silent auction will be featured.

As L’Arche Saint John seeks to grow its inclusive mission in support of adults with intellectual disabilities, we invite you to join us.
This very special evening will feature an opportunity to hear from Madison Tevlin, whose story, advocacy, and achievements are inspiring audiences across Canada and beyond.
Madison is an acclaimed keynote speaker, content creator, actor, and advocate who is helping reshape how the world views disability and inclusion. Born with Down syndrome, she has become a powerful voice for representation, challenging assumptions and demonstrating what is possible when barriers are removed and people are given the opportunity to thrive.
Known for her award-winning viral campaign Assume That I Can, Madison has reached millions through her advocacy, media appearances, and social media platforms. Her work has earned international recognition, including awards from Cannes Lions, the United Nations, and the Webby Awards. She has also appeared in television and film, hosted her own talk show and podcast, and become a leading voice for accessibility, belonging, and inclusion.
Through her authenticity, humour, and determination, Madison continues to inspire individuals and communities to embrace a more inclusive world where everyone is valued for who they are.
Our emcee for the evening is Emily Rodger. An executive coach, television host, speaker, and former elite athlete, Emily is known for helping individuals and organizations navigate change, build resilience, and lead with purpose. She is the host of Atlantic Pursuits, a television series celebrating the people, places, and traditions that make Atlantic Canada unique, and was recognized as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business.
Through her work as a coach, storyteller, and community advocate, Emily has inspired audiences across Canada with her authenticity, warmth, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She brings a unique blend of insight, energy, and compassion to the stage, making her a natural fit to help guide this special evening of community and celebration.
A silent auction will be featured.
An annual gala event in support of L’Arche Saint John, Building Community attracts a sold-out audience of more than 400 people from the business, government and non-profit communities in the region and across New Brunswick.
