About this event
September 4 - The Ceilidh at the Irish Cultural Centre on Friday, September 4, 2026, features Fullerton’s Marsh with Frank McQuaid, Randy Dibblee, David McQuaid and Willie Arsenault. Joining Fullerton’s Marsh are fiddler Allison Giggey and step dancers Janelle Banks and Emily Burnley. The Irish Cultural Centre is located at 582 North River Road, Charlottetown.
Frank McQuaid grew up in rural PEI. He brings to the stage a rich musical history spanning 60 plus years, that includes community choirs, various bands, and in particular the band “The Sons of Erin”. Frank’s brother David McQuaid joins Fullerton’s March for this Ceilidh.
Randy Dibblee, with over 70 years of musical experience, brings a wealth of experience to the stage from his piano lessons as a young boy to his folk music performances as an adult. Dibblee is one of the original “Sons of Erin”.
Willie Arsenault's musical journey started with high school bands which led him to folk groups like “The Sons of Erin” and later to Labrador musical ventures.
Fiddler Allison Giggey has been entertaining crowds across P.E.I., Canada, and the U.K. for almost 20 years. Her 2003 recording 'Wake the Affections' was nominated for a P.E.I. Music award. Giggey is a frequent visitor to the stage at the BIS.
The Havenwood Dancers Janelle Banks and Emily Burnley will provide vigorous step dancing. Banks and Bellefleur are seasoned step dancers having danced on many Island stages over the years. It will be challenge just to hand clap in time to their “flying” feet!
Doors open at 6:30. The show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $20. Children under 12 are $5. Advance tickets are available online at Locarius. Tickets are also available at the door (CASH ONLY) and are subject to availability. The hall is air conditioned, licensed and accessible. Complimentary “tea and treats” are served at intermission.
