Pottery: Hand Build a Butter Bell Crock and Bonus 3in1 Utensil
Sat, June 27, 2026, 12:00 PM (AST)

About this event
Creating a hand-built Danish butter bell is a great way to explore ceramics while crafting a beautiful, functional piece for your kitchen. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of hand-building, a pottery technique that doesn’t need a wheel. You'll shape clay slabs to form the butter bell's two parts: the bell-shaped lid for butter storage and the base that holds water to keep the butter fresh. Personalize your butter bell with textures, patterns, or hand-carved designs, making it uniquely yours. You'll leave with a unique kitchen accessory and the skills to explore ceramics further. Whether you're a beginner or have some clay experience, this workshop promises a rewarding experience.
Also included as a bonus you will make a 3 in 1 utensil: egg separator, herb stripper and flower topper.
Your kiln fired pieces will be ready for pick up in three weeks.
All supplies are included. Please wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty, tie back any long hair and trim nails.
