New to Canada and curious about how government works? Experience local government by attending a City of Summerside Municipal Council meeting!
Join the PEI Coalition for Women's Leadership for the first workshop in our four-part series and learn how the different levels of Canadian government work, and how YOU can participate in community life, regardless of your immigration status!
A municipal government is the most local level of political authority that governs a city, town or rural community and the people who live there. Do you know how municipal leaders make decisions? Do you want to know how you can be an active community member in your municipality?

Group visit to a Summerside City Hall council meeting
Free workshop and meal
Child-friendly environment for children ages 5-12
Designed for English language proficiency levels 4-5
