Hailing from a long lineage of storytellers and musicians in Prince Edward Island, Shane Pendergast is keeping the Maritime folk tradition alive with his honest and insightful compositions. From acclaimed folk festivals across the world to the small halls of PEI, Shane has cemented himself as one of Atlantic Canada’s finest folk troubadours. Recently, he was nominated for Songwriter of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards. 

Shane’s fifth album “Jack Pine” features Shane’s strongest storytelling to date, with themes of resiliency, nostalgia, and the cyclicality of life. Recorded over five days in a historic PEI church, the new album is warm and inviting. 

Accompanied by a band, Shane will perform his new album, as well as some of his older compositions, for what promises to be an exceptional evening of Island folk music.
