Kate Gillespie
Kate Gillespie is a Folk/Americana singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. Raised in Toronto’s arts school community, she began songwriting, collaborating, and performing at a young age. A formative trip to Nashville at thirteen sparked a lasting connection to folk music, and ten years ago she relocated there to pursue her career. Gillespie released her debut EP, Pink and Gold, earning over three million Spotify streams and praise for her emotive vocals. Her single, “Not Having Fun,” surpassed two million streams and appeared on Q with Tom Power and many Spotify editorial playlists. Her transparent and vulnerable writing complements her poetic storytelling, finger picking, and witty persona to create something truly special.
Charla Marie
Charla Marie is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Torbay, Newfoundland. While experimental with various genres, she primarily focuses on the art of indie-folk music, capturing emotion through vocals and guitar. Over the years, Charla has made countless appearances on stages throughout St. John’s and recently had the opportunity to perform with The Once and the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra during their Spring Pops concert in April. Charla is now attending the Applied Music Program at the College of the North Atlantic, where she has already grown as a performer through the collaboration with her peers both on and off stage.
Kyla Tilley
Using whatever words she likes, Kyla Tilley constructs tales true and tall of fantastic exploits, mundane tasks, and moderate misadventure which she delivers through a mix of vocal fusillades, chaotic finger-picking, and kaleidoscopic rhythms. Call it prog-folk.
Judith
Judith is a songwriter and vocalist who draws inspiration from a blend of POP-soul, POP-RNB, Afrobeat, and blues. She is able to create a soulful sound that resonates widely with her audience. Judith is an emerging soul artist with a passion for creating music that heals, comforts, and uplifts. Known for her ability to fuse heartfelt storytelling with soothing melodies, Judith has developed a unique sound that resonates deeply with listeners.
