Introduction to Wildlife Tracks and Sign
Tue, January 19, 2027, 8:30 PM (AST)

About this event
Reading tracks in the snow is a great way to see what wildlife are around and learn what they've been up to! This presentation will introduce you to the terminology used in track identification, show you how to recognize tracks of common mammals and birds, and bust some tracking myths. Tracking can tell you not only who was around, but also how they were feeling and what they were up to, and we'll look at this as well. Of course, tracks aren't the only signs our neighbours of other species leave behind, and we'll be examining scat, too!
This online presentation will be delivered via Zoom and participants will receive a copy for future reference. The Zoom link will be sent to registrants via email before the event.
