Le Conseil acadien de Rustico est ravi d'accueillir Lennie Gallant pour son spectacle annuel dans la région de Rustico sous la grande tente pour clôturer les festivités du 30e anniversaire du Rendez-vous Rustico qui se déroulent du 26 au 28 juillet. Le spectacle aura lieu le dimanche 28 juillet à compter de 20 h. Les billets se vendent au tarif de 30 $ (+ taxe et frais de traitement) pour adultes et 20 $ (+ taxe et frais de traitement) pour enfants. Les portes ouvrent à 19 h.
Un peu au sujet de l'artiste...
Ce ne sont pas toutes les communautés acadiennes qui peuvent se vanter d’avoir produit l’un des plus importants auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes du Canada. Cela est pourtant le cas de Rustico, Î.-P.-É., d’où provient Lennie Gallant ! Ses 15 albums (11 en anglais et 4 en français) lui ont valu une foule de prix et de nominations au niveau atlantique et national (notamment aux Junos et aux ECMA). Il s’est produit à l’échelle nationale et internationale, soit en solo, avec des orchestres symphoniques ou avec les plus grandes vedettes du monde. Sa musique s’est même fait entendre dans la Station spatiale internationale. Son plus récent album français, Sirène et Matelot, a été produit en collaboration avec son partenaire Patricia Richard.
Cet été, Gallant et ses musiciens interpréteront non seulement plusieurs de ses succès des 35 dernières années, ainsi que du nouveau matériel pour son prochain album, mais aussi de son travail avec l'icône de la musique, le regretté Jimmy Buffett. Attendez-vous à beaucoup de rires, de belles histoires, des moments poignants et des surprises qui promettent de rendre cet anniversaire du Rendez-vous Rustico inoubliable!

The Conseil acadien de Rustico is thrilled to present Lennie Gallant for his annual show in Rustico under the festival tent to close off the festivities of the 30th anniversary of the Rendez-vous Rustico taking place from July 26-28. The show will take place on Sunday, July 28 at 8 PM. Tickets are $30 (+ tax and processing fees) for adults and $20 (+ tax and processing fees) for kids. Doors open at 7 PM.
A bit about the artist...
Not every Acadian community can boast of having produced one of Canada’s most prolific award-winning singer-songwriters. Rustico, PEI, can however be extremely proud of its native son, Lennie Gallant! His 15 albums (11 in English and 4 in French) have earned him a host of East Coast and national awards and nominations (including Junos and ECMAs). He has performed across the country and internationally, either as a solo act, with symphony orchestras or with some of the music world’s biggest names. One of his albums was even taken up to the International Space Station. He is also one half of the new exciting francophone duo Sirène et Matelot, along with partner Patricia Richard.
This summer, Gallant and his fabulous band will be performing many of his hits from over the last 35 years, and some new material for an upcoming album, but also from his work with music icon, the late Jimmy Buffett. Expect a lot of laughs, great tales, poignant moments, and occasional surprises that promise to make this Rendez-vous Rustico anniversary unforgettable!
